BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–DGT Associates, New England’s leading surveying firm, announces the hiring of Robert “Bob” Bielert as their latest Survey Group Manager. Based out of the firm’s Preston, Connecticut office, Bielert brings more than 30 years of industry experience to the role and is responsible for providing oversight to all projects throughout the state.

Born and raised in Lebanon, Connecticut, Bielert has spent the past three decades as a professional land surveyor, working both in the field and in-office; most recently as Deputy Director of Survey at AECOM, a well-respected civil engineering consulting firm located in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.

“The first thing I noticed when I joined DGT was the comradery within the office and the enthusiasm every team member had for the work they do,” said Bielert. “It was clear from the start that my colleagues have faith in what I’m capable of accomplishing, and I look forward to using that momentum to expand the Connecticut office and take on new and exciting projects across the region.”

The Preston, Connecticut office is the firm’s fourth office, joining DGT’s three Massachusetts locations. Since acquiring Mattern & Stefon Land Surveyors in 2020, DGT has been able to offer its suite of services and technologies, including Subsurface Utility Mapping (SUM/SUE) and radar tomography, to a broader geographical audience. The range of clients currently served in Connecticut includes municipalities, attorneys, engineers, architects, developers, private landowners, casinos, energy companies, and general contractors.
