We are seeking a qualified Senior Project Engineer (Civil) to fill an important leadership role within our Framingham, Massachusetts office. The candidate should bring a breadth and depth of civil engineering experience in private-sector residential and commercial industries, as well as public sector projects. The candidate should demonstrate past experience with taking a lead role in site planning, design and permitting, including environmental laws and regulations (eg: Wetlands Protection Act and local wetlands bylaws, MEPA, etc.) As the role includes both leadership and management functions, candidates with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude along with effective verbal and written communications skills will succeed.


Responsibilities:

  • Taking a lead role in site planning, design and permitting
  • Presenting to clients, partners, and municipalities
  • Keeping projects on-time and meeting important internal deadlines
  • Guiding and mentoring EITs and junior project engineers and survey specialists
  • Steering budget development and management
  • Hiring additional staff at DGT
  • Securing new projects and clients

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • PE professional licensure is required
  • 8-12 years of field and office experience
  • CAD skills required; Carlson software experience preferred
  • Extensive experience with the Wetlands Protection Act and local wetlands and stormwater bylaws
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills
